7 Oahu residents (Steven, Taryn, Elizabeth, Mark, Lauren, Aaron, and Zoltan) did a kayak adventure on the north east side of Molokai from Halawa Valley to Pelekuna Valley August 2011 in 4 days.
Sunburn, lost gear, vomiting, hunger, thirst, and no real shower for 4 days was all worth this once in a lifetime kayak adventure with breath taking views of cliffs and waterfalls, remote soft sand beaches and valleys, fresh water streams, fresh fish, prawns, opihi, and blue blue ocean for days.
Words can’t really describe our adventure and only the 7 of us will have these memories and pictures swimming in our minds forever. I am humbled by mother nature and realize we are small insignificant creatures in comparison to the giant world around us. The raw beauty of Molokai was a reminder to me to revere and appreciate mother nature and all its creations, and also to remember family, good friends, and memories are what’s important to me.
Here are a couple photos of the trip and more water photos to come…
