I just blinked and it’s already 2022. So much for putting an end to this pandemic. 2021 has definitely given me more perspective and accepting monotony. I kept really busy with work (my busiest year to date!) and my hilarious 6 year old son kept me smiling on the days I didn’t want to get out of bed because of un-motivation and high anxiety.
Thanks to about 40% of the US population for not taking this pandemic seriously and not getting vaccinated, we are on year 3 of this wonderful pandemic. Gratefully, most of my family was able to get the vaccine including my son, so the impending doom of COVID has been lightened to a daily annoyance and lifestyle change. Every day is a calculated risk, as our country continues to play victim and put a heavy strain on our healthcare workers, teachers, and other high risk groups.
I just try everyday to focus on the positives. I cherish the good surf days, the quiet time, the high pitch 6 year old laughs, funny tik tok videos, and short neighborhood walks with my small family. I look forward to writing more, surfing way more, working less, and figuring out like the rest of us this thing called LIFE.
